GREATER PGH GTO FUN RUN PICS & VIDEO (below) - Pete's Pics too - on October 8th, 2006, our club had its first "FUN RUN" organized by Pete Muro. Click above to see the pictures. Anyway, it was a beautiful fall day and the weather couldn't have been any better. We first met for breakfast and then assembled our caravan of cars to take a scenic drive through the Laurel Highlands. State Routes 31 and 711 provided beautiful scenery and the leaves reflecting off of our hoods was super. Our first stop was at Seven Springs where we spent several hours browsing the craft vendors and taking in the many activities Seven Springs resort had to offer. Many of us took the lift to the top of the mountain for a wonderful scenic ride. Others went on a hay ride. John Odrey & John Owoc, and the wives rode the Alpine slide. Steve Busalacchi & his daughter Anna did too. Beth Busalacchi and son Mark ran through the corn maze. Also attending were Joe Barber, Bill Gilbert, John DeCoursey, John Calaguri, Pete Muro and Jim M. The wives were there too. In addition to 8 GTOs, we also had 3 Corvettes join us and 2 regular cars. For lunch, we had our own room at the Laurel Mountain Inn. It was great! Our last stop was downtown Ligonier. We took a stroll, shopped, and stopped in at Joe's Tavern to see a huge collection of the owner's animal trophies from his hunting expeditions, including lions & tigers. Unfortunately Joe Barber had a bit of trouble with his gto convertible and had to be towed home. I think he made back ok. Anyway the whole event was so much fun so in the future if we plan a "FUN RUN", do it. We will do this again next year, maybe a few more too.
